Lesson 3: Module B | False Narratives
Lesson 3: Module B
The false narratives and predatory marketing trainers and clinicians tend to use has a ton of unintended consequences that we must be aware of. By becoming aware of the consequences of our actions we can be more careful our actions move people towards the goals that we have.
As we all become more aware of the impact of the words we use, actions we take, and narratives we create we can slowly start to change the landscape of the health and fitness industry one person at a time.
Unfortunately, as this happens, we still have to navigate the repercussions of these negative narratives as they create pressures on our clients that create unrealistic expectations and misguided direction when it comes to health and fitness. These ideas are often deep routed due to years of being rammed down their throat and social learning. These ideas often take time and rapport to diffuse and are something we should be aware of everytime we interact with a new client or patient. Be understanding of where these thoughts come from and they are much easier to deal with.
